Mrs. Welby Willis' Father Dies Aug. 10 At Home In Ruston

R. M. Carter, father of Mrs. Welby Willis, died suddenly at his home in
Ruston, Thursday afternoon, August 10, after driving home in the car from
work.  He remained in the car parked in front of the house and when he did not
come in his wife went to the car and found him dead.

The deceased was an employee of the city water and light department, which
position he had held for many years.

Funeral services were held the following day and interment was made in the
Greenwood Cemetery at Ruston.

Surviving him are his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Welby Willis of Winnfield
and three grandchildren, and a number of brothers.
