A. Carter At Mt. Zion Last rites for W. A. Carter, 81, of Montgomery, who died Oct. 30, after a lengthy illness were held at the Montgomery Baptist Church Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. O. T. Hammond and the Rev. Mr. Ellis officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. He is survived by his widow; two sons, M. A. Carter of Houston and D. T. Carter of Bossier City; four daughters, Mrs. J. W. Gates of Alexandria, Mrs. M. I. Downs of Houston, Mrs. E. V. Davison of Montgomery, and Mrs. George Keeth of Jonesville; three brothers, J. N. Carter of Montgomery, Eugene Carter of Newellton, and R. V. Carter of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. H. A. Durham of Leesville, Mrs. Hettie Fox of Montgomery, and mrs. Etta Smith of Shreveport; 27 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
