Mrs. Lula Ann Caskey Dies at Home of Daughter Near Dodson

Mrs. Lula Ann Caskey died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. S. Chandler, at
Cypress Creek, Monday, August 1st.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, August
2nd, at Cypress Creek Church with Rev. Sherwood of Winnfield and Rev. Rufus
Kitchingham of Dodson officiating.  Interment was in the Arcadia Cemetery by
the side of her late husband, L. A. Caskey.

Mrs. Caskey was a member of the Baptist Church for about 53 years.  She was 71
years of age at the time of her death.  She had been a resident of Winn Parish
for 21 years.

Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Carrie Corbitt, Simsboro, La.; Mrs.
Minnie Jones, Dodson, La.; Mrs. Effie Chandler, Dodson, La.; Mrs. Idell
Poisso, Dodson, La.; Mrs. Gladys Cockerham, Dodson, La.; Mrs. Leslie Caskey,
Dodson, La.; Alton Caskey, Dodson, La.; Mrs. Maude Chandler, Calvin; Mrs. Eva
Cockerham, Italy, Texas; Mrs. Mary Lou Box, Waxahachie, Texas; Mrs. Myrtle
Grigsby, Ruston; and an adopted son, Mr. Claude Howard, Hodge, La.  Her only
brother lives at Holly Ridge, La.
