All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: July 8, 1926 Winn Parish Enterprise Eleven Month Old Boy Smothers To Death Charles Henry Cavanaugh, eleven month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Cavanaugh, of South Winnfield, smothered to death Saturday night between the bed and the wall of the house where he had gotten sometime during the early night, and was found dead by his mother, who was sleeping with him when she awoke at about 11 o'clock. The bed had been pushed against the wall to keep the little fellow from rolling off, and in some way he got under the mattress, where he died from suffocation. Interment took place in the Gorham Cemetery Sunday at 4:30 P. M., Rev. J. E. Pickering, pastor of the Christian Church, conducting the religious service.
