All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: October 3, 1963 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Mrs. Lloyd Tugwell Is Buried Oct. 2 In Winnfield Funeral services for Mrs. Lloyd Tugwell, 70, the former Mrs. Carrie Branch, Winn native, were held at the Winnfield Hixson Brothers Funeral Chapel at 3 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Robert Gage, Presbyterian minister, officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Tugwell died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pierre (Martha) Gautreaux in New Orleans following a short illness. She had been making her home there for the past several years, but had retained her membership in the First Presbyterian Church of Winnfield. Survivors in addition to her daughter, Mrs. Gautreaux, are one grandchild, a brother in law, State Treasurer Pat Tugwell of Baton Rouge, and two sisters in law, Mrs. Mack Branch and Mrs. Gladys Branch of Winnfield. Acting as pallbearers were Ovey Trahan, Robert Heard, R. D. Bevill, John T. DeLoach, Jesse Corley, and Burton Williams.
