Long Held October 24 Conley Charles Long, 79, died at his home in the Zion Community, Route 1, Georgetown on October 23, following a long illness. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Merle Bates and the Rev. Arnold Norsworthy officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Winnfield. Acting as pallbearers were William Long, James Long, Jerry Long, David Masters, H. L. Harris, and Connie Bob Horn. He was a native of Winn Parish and had lived in the Zion Community near Winnfield all of his life. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Fannie Long, Georgetown; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Horn of Georgetown; one sister, Mrs. C. A. White of Pineville; three brothers, Olney and Frank of George of Georgetown and Odus of Monroe; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
