Father of Local Residents Dies In Natchitoches

Ed Cedars, 78, of Derry, father of Mrs. Katherine Thompson of Winnfield, died
Sunday, March 12, 1972 in a Natchitoches hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Gorum Catholic Church with
Rev. Joseph Bernier officiating.  Interment was in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, five sons, two daughters, two brothers, a sister,
33 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
