A. Chandler, who lives four miles south of Winnfield, were held at Corinth Church, December 26, the Rev. Brown of Ball, conducting the services. Out of town relatives attending the last rites were Mr. and Mrs. Sim Chandler and two daughters, Mrs. Chris Chandler and John Chandler of Ruston, and Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Collier of Monroe and a number of friends. Miss Chandler died at an Alexandria sanitarium December 25, with pneumonia. She had been in ill health since last April. She was a graduate of the Winnfield High School class of 1929. This young lady's mother died when she was twelve years of age, leaving her to keep house for her father and a sister and brother and to attend school. She was a consecrated Christian and leaves besides her father, brother, Harmon, and sister, Mary Belle, a host of friends. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Gentry.
