C. Chandler, 85, Former Winn Resident, Dies Christopher C. Chandler, 85, of Ruston, a former resident of Winnfield, died Friday, March 10, 1972, at his residence following a long illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Spears Funeral Chapel in Ruston. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas. Mr. Chandler was a native of Lincoln Parish and a retired railroad employee. Mr. Chandler was a brother of the late Berry Chandler of Winnfield and the uncle of Mrs. Maybelle Dalby and Harmon Chandler, also of Winnfield. Survivors include three sons, Harold B. Chandler of Bossier City, La., Kenneth C. Chandler of Ruston, and Bobby C. Chandler of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. W. A. Willett of Ruston, Mrs. Jack Elmore of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Sam Smith of Ruston; a brother, John Chandler of Ruston; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Stephenson of Titusville, Fla.; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
