Mrs. Chandler was a native of the Wheeling community. Survivors include her husband, Edward Ruben Chandler; two sons, Edward R. Chandler, Jr. and Frank J. Chanlder, both of Montgomery; a daughter, Mrs. Brenda Crayon of Route 1, Atlanta; four brothers, Leon LeBAron, Dewey LeBaron, both of Montgomery, Otto LeBaron of Pollock and Clifton LeBaron of Atlanta; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Forbes of Lake Providence, Mrs. Jewel Brady of Pineville, and Mrs. Violet Simmons of Simms; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church in Montgomery with the Rev. Roy Moore officiating, assisted by Rev. J. O. Dumas and Rev. David Myre. Burial was in the Mars Hill Cemetery near Verda under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Winnfield. Pallbearers were Lantria B. Hughes, Glen E. Gilcrease, R. B. Lang, Leland Wright, Neal McManus, and Maurice Smith.
