Funeral Services Held Thursday For J. W. Chandler

Joe W. Chandler, 59, succumbed at his home in Montgomery, La., Tuesday night,
following an illness of several months.  Funeral services were held Thursday
morning at 11:00 o'clock at the Oak Grove Church near Bentley, La., and burial
was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.  Rev. Fogleman, minister of Montgomery,
officiated at the last rites.

Mr. Chandler was born at Pollock, La., September 18, 1886.  He was a member of
he Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Irene Lovell Chandler, Montgomery; one daughter,
Mrs. Lantric Hughes, Montgomery; and five sisters, Mrs. B. F. Selvidge,
Selma, La.; Mrs. W. B. Banks of Port Arthur, Texas; Mrs. S. J. Sasser of New
Orleans, Mrs. A. T. Hobbs of Pineville, and Miss Rosa Chandler of Pineville.
