He was a livestock dealer. A native of Winn Parish, he was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bethlehem Baptist Church near here with Rev. W. C. Jordan and Rev. Parker and Elder Cagle officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Survivors are his wife, Lillian Sullivan Chandler of Winnfield; a son, Lonnie Chandler of Winnfield; four daughters, Mrs. Cortez Wooster of Houston, Texas, Inez Cagle of Winnfield, Mrs. Jeanez Miescke of Wisconsin, and Theda Ainley of Jonesboro; a sister, Mrs. J. D. Black of Winnfield; his father, Hampton Chandler of Winnfield; and 15 grandchildren.
