H. Jones, Wednesday, August 19. Born in Alabama, she moved to this section many years ago. Her husband, the late Bob Chandler, farmer, preceded her in death 23 years ago. Funeral services for Mrs. Chandler were held Aug. 20 at Center Point Baptist Church, the Rev. R. G. Bryant officiating at the ceremony. She was interred in the Bethel Cemetery. Mrs. Chandler was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Calvin Harper, Mrs. H. R. Jones, Mrs. Lula Frashem, of Jonesboro, and Mrs. T. Hutson of Shreveport, and the following sons: Jessie and Rub Chandler of Jonesboro, a sister, Mrs. J. W. Shows of Atlanta, and the following brothers: Jack Maxwell of Hodge, Allen, Byrd, and Jim Maxwell of Jonesboro, and R. S. Maxwell of Colfax. Twenty three grandchildren, several great grandchildren, also survive the deceased. Pallbearers were Orvin Maxwell, H. R. Maxwell, Melvin Harper, Dewey Chandler, and J. T. Richardson.
