Chelette Services for Herbert F. Chelette, 64, of Montgomery, were held at 11 a.m. today in St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. Norman Rogge officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery, Wheeling, under the direction of Lakeview. Chelette died at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 1982 in his residence. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 8, Colfax, Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 1736, Alexandria, and Disable American Veterans Post No. 26, Winnfield. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Chelette of Montgomery; one son, Herbert L. Chelette of Montgomery; two daughters, Linda Cox of Dry Prong and Jeanette Givens of Atlanta; four brothers, Paul Chelette, Thomas A. Chelette and C. A. Chelette, all of Montgomery, and Ray Chelette of Houma; three sisters, Thelma Fredericks of Montgomery, Marie Cerus of Alexandria, and Betty Racine of Houma; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
