Colored Deaths

Jane Brazzell Cheffin

Funeral services for Sister Jane Brazzell Cheffin were held Thursday, March 5,
at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. B. J. Washington preaching the
funeral.

Burial was in the Winnfield Colored Cemetery.

She was born March 12, 1897, in Stacy, Louisiana and died February 27, 1964 in
the Confederate Memorial Hospital in Shreveport.  She had lived in Winnfield
since 1931.

Mourning her passing were three brothers, four sisters, seven children, 38
grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
