A. M. Chellette, 87, Dies; Burial Held At Mt. Zion

Abraham Matthew Chellette, 87, of Montgomery, died Friday, June 11, 1971
following a short illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday in the Church of Christ in Montgomery with
the Rev. James Barrett officiating.  Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near
Montgomery directed by Hixson Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include his widow, Della Pender Chellette of Montgomery; six sons,
Charles O. Chellette, Herbert F. Chellette, and Thomas A. Chellette, all of
Montgomery, Paul D. Chellette, Columbus A. Chellette, and Ray G. Chellette,
all of Houma; four daughters, Mrs. Audrey Dubois, Mrs. Thelma Fredericks, both
of Montgomery, and Mrs. Betty Racine of Houma; a sister, Mrs. Lou Arctic of
Winnfield; 42 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
