Mr. Willis has been a lifelong resident of this parish. For many years Mrs. Willis was a member of the Winn Parish Police Jury. Mr. Willis, until his death, operated one of the largest farms in the parish, and has always taken an active part in the business, civic, and religious affairs of his community and parish. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. E. Chapman of Grayson, Friday morning at the Hebron Baptist Church, with interment in the Hebron Cemetery. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Martha Meyers, Newport, La.; seven sons, E. C. Willis, Sikes, La.; P. J. Willis, Bossier City, La.; Sam, Fred, Jack, and Lloyd Willis, of Shreveport; James Willis, Newport, La.; three daughters, Mrs. Noah Fordham, Newport, La.; Mrs. Alpha Kidd, Columbia, La.; and Mrs. Pat Hunger, Shreveport; and a stepson, Elzey Stringer, Indianapolis, Ind.
