Funeral Services For Mrs. L. Clifton Held At Pine Ridge

Funeral services for Mrs. Lina Clifton, who died in a Pineville hospital
Tuesday morning, were held Thursday at Pine Ridge cemetery in Ward 10.  Rev.
Alwin Stokes, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, conducted the services.

Mrs. Clifton, who was 84 years old, was a resident of Ward 10 until about 10
years ago when she moved to Kingsville with her son, Louis.  Last Friday
she suffered a stroke and was rushed to the hospital where she died Tuesday.
She was the widow of the late Filmore Clifton.

Surviving are her three sons, Bob Clifton of Ward 10, Louis Clifton of
Kingsville, and Dick Clifton of Pineville; one sister, Mrs. Emma Clifton of
Winnfield.
