Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Mary Collins, 93

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Collins, 93, who lived near Verda on
Route 1, Montgomery, were held Monday, April 17, from Mt. Zion Church.  Burial
was in the Mount Zion Cemetery.  Mrs. Collins passed away in a local hospital
Sunday, April 16.  

She was born in Meridian, Miss., May 23, 1856.

Surviving are two sons, Richard W. of Palmetto, La., and Weaver of Montgomery;
four daughters, Miss Lilla of Montgomery, Miss Eva, Montgomery; Mrs. Esma
Drewett, Downey, California; and Mrs. Imogene Lang, Winnsboro; two sisters,
Mrs. Houston Till, Pollock and Mrs. Malissa Dick, Baton Rouge; one brother,
Charles McLamore, Garrison, Texas; and a number of grandchildren.

Officiating at the funeral was Rev. M. E. Mercer with Mrs. Lula Wardlow
assisting.

Pallbearers were Lonnie Young, L. O. Jones, Fred Mixon, Preston Wallace, R. B.
Lang, and Jules McLamore.

Remains were held at Hixson Funeral Home until time for burial.
