Culp At Georgetown Mrs. Ellen Fanny Culp, 79, of Urania, passed away in the Huey P. Long Hospital at Pineville, Sunday, January 18, at 4:40 a.m. Mrs. Culp is a former resident of Winn Parish, having lived in the Zion Community until about a year before her death. She was the former Ellen Fanny Hand and was a sister of the late Chiev Hand of Winnfield. She was a sister of Mrs. R. H. Long and Mrs. W. D. Sherwood and mother of Mrs. Horace Dietzel of Winnfield. Funeral services were held in the Georgetown Baptist Church, Monday, January 19, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Victor Matthews officiating. Interment was in the Georgetown Cemetery with Hixson Funeral Home in charge. The deceased is survived by two sons, Randolph Culp, of Georgetown, and Beltha Culp of Urania. Two daughters, Mrs. Horace Dietzel of Winnfield and Mrs. Earl Davidson of Alexandria. Sisters, other than those mentioned, were Mrs. Betty Brazzell, Pollock; Mrs. Anna Brazzel, Georgetown; Mrs. Nettie Blackstock, Hodge; Mrs. Pearl Watson, Walker; Mrs. Ocie Jones, Shreveport. She had fourteen grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. Active pallbearers were nephews of the deceased.
