She had been a patient in the hospital six days. Funeral services were held at the Zion Baptist Church at 4 p.m. Monday, June 27, with the Rev. G. L. Higgins officiating. Burial was in the Zion Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Surviving are her husband, G. L. Coburn, Georgetown; one son, Odell of Georgetown; one brother, John J. Blackshear of Olla; and two sisters, Mrs. Ellard Bankston of Florida and Mrs. Minnie Williamson of Dry Prong; and other relatives in Winn Parish. Pallbearers were Lavell, Homer, Lovie, and Willie Williamson, and Charles and J. B. Coburn.
