Last Rites Held For John Cockerham

Last rites for John Cockerham, 66, of Joyce, who died March 18, were held at
the Union Baptist Church at 2 p.m. March 19.  Rev. John Ingouf, pastor of the
Old Union Church, assisted by Rev. Ralph Frazier of DeRidder, and Mrs. Mary
Walker of Winnfield, officiated at the services.  Burial was under the
direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Mr. Cockerham is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ocie Cockerham; seven daughters,
Mrs. Mattie Johns, Mrs. Nancy Harkins, Mrs. Lucy Johns, Mrs. Louise Hennigan,
Mrs. Hannah Sanders, Mrs. Wannie Mae Hudson, and Alma Cockerham; one son,
Burton Cockerham; one brother, Benjamin Cockerham; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy
Jennings and Mrs. C. F. Creel; three half sisters, Mrs. Audie Gilcrease, Mrs.
Sara Jane Barton, and Mrs. Suzie Miller.
