B. N. Cockerham of Joyce Dies Tuesday May 27

Funeral Services Were Conducted At Union Church

Last rites for B. N. Cockerham, 74 years of age, who died at his home in
Joyce, Tuesday, May 27th, were held at Union Church Wednesday under the
direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.  Mr. Cockerham suffered a stroke of
paralysis some time ago.  He was a native of this parish and a member of
the Baptist Church.

Surviving are four sons, John of Dodson, Ben of Wilspoint, Texas, Phil of CCC
Camp, Pollock, Claudia of Huton, Montana; five daughters, Mrs. C. L. Creel,
Miss Susie Cockerham, of Joyce; Mrs. Nancy Jennings of Sabastapool, Miss.;
Mrs. Sara Jane Barton of Little Rock, Ark.; and Mrs. Audie Gilcrease of Dry
Prong; one sister, Mrs. Susie Creel of Joyce; and two half brothers, Bud
Cockerham of Joyce and Allen Cockerham of Winnfield, Route Three.
