Grandson of Mrs. J. Cooper Killed In Germany
     Pfc. David Carl Cockerham, 22, grandson of Mrs. Julia Cooper and
nephew of Mrs. Martha Warren of Laurel Heights was killed in action in
Germany April 25, according to a message received here this week.
     The youth was the son of W. D. Cockerham of Pioneer, La. and was
born in Winnfield and spent his early childhood here.  He leaves a host
of relatives in Winn parish.
