Son of Rev. J. A. Cockerham Dies

Earl Cockerham of Joyce, native of Winn Parish, and son of Rev. J. A.
Cockerham of Joyce, died in Texas at 2 a.m. Sunday.  He had been in the Armed
Forces for 28 years and was stationed at Amarillo, Texas.

Last rites were conducted Tuesday with burial in the National Cemetery at San
Antonio.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, and one daughter of San Antonio; his father
of Joyce, and a sister, Mrs. Katherine Barnett of Shreveport.

The deceased was a graduate of Winnfield High School and joined the Armed
Forces a few years after his graduation.
