Mrs. L. Cockerham Buried At New Hope Thur. 3 p.m.


Mrs. Lula Cockerham, 64, who passed away at her home in the Hudson community
late Wednesday afternoon, was buried Thursday.  Services were conducted at the
New Hope Church at 3 p.m. with the pastor officiating.  Burial was in the New
Hope Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, James Cockerham, Rt. 1, Dodson; a step-son,
Gilbert Cockerham, Rt. 1, Dodson; a step-daughter, Mrs. Pat Garrett, Calvin;
one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Stewart, Rt. 1, Dodson; two brothers, Henry Stroud of
Sikes, and Willie Stroud of Quitman; two sisters, Mrs. Sidney Stone,
Winnfield, and Mrs. Laura Gresham, Humble, Texas.

She also leaves eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
