M. Cockerham Held At Old Union M. M. "Jack" Cockerham, 53, of Joyce, died Tuesday in a Winnfield hospital after a brief illness. He was an employee of the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. Final rites were conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Old Union Baptist Church near Joyce with the Rev. Steve Caskey and the Rev. Ralph Frazier officiating. Burial was in the church cemeteryunder direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were Jackie James, Jackie Guins, Tommy Johnson, Larry House, John Miller, Richard Buckley, Joe Creel and Lonnie Corley. Survivors are his widow, the former Miss Alma Jordan; three sons, Alvin, Dannie, and Roy Cockerham, all of Joyce; three brothers, the Rev. Harrison Cockerham, and Arnold Cockerham of Joyce, and Dave Cockerham of Jonesville; three sisters, Mrs. Dee Franklin of Joyce, Mrs. H. C. Drewett of Winnfield, and Mrs. Millie Bourdier of Morgan City.
