A. Cogley, 66, Held At New Jerusalem Funeral services for Jacob Arthur Cogley, 66, of Winnfield, were held at New Jerusalem Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, with the Rev. Alwin Stokes officiating, assisted by Rev. Clovis and Rev. W. C. Bounds. Interment was in the New Jerusalem Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Cogley, a resident of Winnfield for many years, died at his home here at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 24. He was born in Grand Rapids, Ohio, June 16, 1884, and came to Louisiana in 1906. He recently retired after many years service with the Carey Salt Company. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Stella Cogley; one son, H. A. Cogley of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs. J. L. Bishop of Winnfield and Mrs. H. H. Foster of Effie, La.; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one brother, Mr. H. P. Cogley of Winnfield. Pallbearers were Howard Parham, W. H. Cameron, L. C. Kolb, Lee Davis, V. C. Robbins, and W. R. Eagles.
