All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: February 15, 1940 Winn Parish Enterprise Former Resident of Winn Parish Is Buried At Pollock Mrs. Fannie Cook, 75, a former resident of Winn Parish, died in Baton Rouge, Tuesday, February 6, and was buried at Pollock February 7. A host of relatives and friends from this parish attended the last rites. The deceased will be remembered as Miss Fannie Dark, and later the widow of D. B. Boyett of Winnfield. She was a sister to Uncle Bill Dark, 94 years of age, of Gaars Mill, to Mrs. Mollie Boyd, 84, now of Rodessa, and to R. L. "Bob" Dark, 70, of Winnsboro, all who attended the last rites, which were conducted by Rev. Brown, aged Methodist minister, who had known the deceased for over 50 years. Others surviving are four sons and one daughter, W. E. Boyett, Pollock, Dr. J. L. Boyett, Jacksonville, Texas; Mrs. Kate Hammett, Denham Springs, La.; and Clarence and Florace Cook of Houston, Texas.
