Funeral services for Emmett S. Cole, 90, of Winnfield, were held at 10 a.m.
Tuesday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home here with the Revs. W. R. Gage
and Willie James officiating.

Burial was in Winnfield City Cemetery for Mr. Cole who died Monday, October
18, 1976 in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Cole was a Mason, a member of First Presbyterian Church of Winnfield, and
was retired from the Illinois Central Railroad.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Effie Cole of Winnfield; two sons, P. H.
Cole and D. D. Cole, both of Joyce; two granddaughters, and two great
grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ray Jenkins, Walter Maxwell, Dalton Martin, Harvey Myrick,
Bob Kraft, and Jack Gaar.
