Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Bethlehem Baptist Church with Reverends Jim Brasher and J. C. Ledford officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield. Collins is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine Collins; six sons, Danny and Ronnie of Winnfield, Huey and Jim Collins of Tioga, Lee Collins of Sulphur, and Joe Collins of Dry Prong; a stepson, Neal Crane of Quantico, Va.; five daughters, Miss Kathy Collins and Mrs. Ethel Mae Smith of Winnfield, Mrs. Bobby Dean Mitchell of Arkansas, Mrs. Lena Mae Croom of Dry Prong, and Miss Betty Collins of Tullos; a brother, W. C. Collins of Winnfield; a sister, mrs. Lena Truett of Houston, Texas; his father, Riley Collins of Goldonna; and 10 granchildren.
