T. (Uncle Bill) Collins, who died at a Winnfield hospital Thursday morning, March 15, after a long illness, will be held Friday, March 16, at 2:30 p.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church. The Rev. E. B. Barton and the Rev. Clarence Weatherford will officiate. Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. The remains will be at the family home, Five Forks Community, south of Winnfield, near Atlanta. He was a retired farmer and observed his 87th birthday on October 11, 1961. Surviving are nine children; four sons, Ed Collins, Atlanta, DeWitt and Luther Collins, Five Forks Community, and Roy Collins, Saline Lake; five daughters, Mrs. L. R. Dick, Smackover, Ark., Mrs. J. A. Young, Norphlet, Ark., Mrs. Murrell McIlwain, Springhill, La., Mrs. P. B. Smith and Mrs. Howard Boyett, Tannehill; 26 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Collins, Gilbert, La., and a number of nieces and nephews.
