He was the brother of James W. Collins and of Mrs. Clara McMurray, both of Winnfield, Route 2. A native of Winn Parish, he was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. A. P. Collins. He had been a resident of Monroe since 1925. Dr. Collins was a World War II veteran, a member of the American Legion and agraduate of Tulane Dental School. He was associated with numerout fraternities and clubs, and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. He is survived by his widow and one son of Monroe; one brother, James W. Collins, Winnfield; one half brother, Julius Beard, Stonewall; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Montgomery, Bellwood, and Mrs. Annie Mae Henton, Baton Rouge; two half sisters, Mrs. Lee Adams, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Clara McMurray, Winnfield, and several nieces and nephews. Final rites were conducted at Grace Episcopal Church, Monroe, Monday at 2 p.m. with burian at the Memorial Cemetery.
