Robert Roy Colwell

Robert Roy Colwell, age 33 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Colwell of this
city, died at Base Hospital, Alexandria, La., last Friday.  He had been in ill
health for the past several years having contracted his illness during the
service in the army.  He was transferred fro Jefferson Hospital at Houston,
Texas, to Base Hospital, Alexandria, about six months ago, where it was hoped
he would be benefitted by the change, and where he died Friday.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church at 3 o'clock Saturday
afternoon, Rev. Alwin Stokes of the Presbyterian Church officiating. 
Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery.
