Funeral Services For Mrs. Conerly Held on Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Hamilton Conerly, widow of Samuel L.
Conerly, one of the early citizens of Alexandria, La., was held Monday
morning, January 7, at Hixson Brothers Chapel, Alexandria.  Interment was in
Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Conerly died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. J. Waters in Dodson
Thursday evening, January 3, at eight o'clock.

She was born March 19, 1871, and lived in Alexandria practically her entire
life.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Waters, and Mrs. A. S. Jackson of
Alexandria; eight grandchildren, Mary Ruth, Betty Dorothy, Dan, and Harvey
Waters, Jr., A. M. M. 2/C George Laney, Jack and Connie Wilson; one sister,
Mrs. Edward Chenard, Tucson, Arizona; one brother, Roy D. Hamilton, Palm
Springs, Calif.
