Death Claims Paul Cook, 70, Winn Native

Paul Kelly Cook, aged 70, a lifelong resident of the Gorham Community, died
June 30, 1952, at the Leesville convalescent and nursing home, where he had
been for the past two years.

Funeral services were held July 1, at 3 p.m., at the East Winnfield Baptist
Church of which he was a member.  Rev. Turner Davis, pastor, and Rev. D.
W. McDaniel, officiated, with interment in the Gorham Cemetery.

The deceased was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. P. K. Cook, prominent Winn 
Parish residents, and following their death made his home with the Gorham
family.

The body lay in state at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Davis, East Winnfield. 
There were many floral offerings sent and many friends called.

The deceased leave no survivors.
