Religious services were held Saturday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church conducted by Msgr. Daniel J. Becnel and Dr. Lamar Smith with burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband, Dr. James S. Cookston, Baton Rouge, a native of Winnfield; her mother, Mrs. Helen T. Jones, Alexandria; three daughters, Jane Marie, Ann Tabor, and Nell Elizabeth, all of Baton Rouge; and a sister, Mrs. R. H. Tompkins of Lafayette. She was a daughter of the late Dr. Earl Jones and the granddaughter of the late Dr. William Augustus Jones, pioneer Grant Parish physician. Mrs. Cookston was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, Mortar Board, Daughter of the American Revolution, and Magna Carta Dames. She was active in Baton Rouge and Louisiana art circles.
