Mrs. M. E. Cooper Buried Monday in Shreveport

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Cooper, 79, who died Sunday evening
at 6:20 o'clock at the home of her son, P. C. Corbitt, near Shreveport, were
held from the residence of Mr. Corbitt Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock with the
Rev. M. E. Dodd, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Shreveport, and Rev. C.
W. Culpl, pastor of the Queensboro Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment was
in Forest Park Cemetery at Shreveport.

Surviving relatives are one son, Mr. Corbitt of Shreveport; two daughters,
Miss Georgia Prothro of Shreveport, and Mrs. Charles A. Lenard of Harbin,
Manchuria; one sister, Mrs. Maud Latham of Deming, N. M.; and three brothers,
Matt Scarborough of Oakdale, Claude S. Scarborouth of Robeline, and Bobby
Scarborough of Natchitoches.
