All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: June 3, 1937 Winn Parish Enterprise Earl Cooper, Thrown By Horse, Dies From Injuries, May 28th News was received here this week of the death of Earl Cooper, about 23 years old, which was a result of a broken neck and fractured skull which he sustained when he was thrown by a horse at Sicily Island, Friday, May. 28. He was carried to a hospital in Ferriday where he died several hours later. Funeral services were held at Goss, Miss., Sunday. The youth will be remembered by a host of friends in Winnfield where he was employed by the American Creosote Co. for a number of years. He was a brother of Mrs. F. S. Hathorn, former resident of this city.
