Corley, 53, Winnfield trucking contractor, who died suddenly at a local hospital Monday. Mr. Corley had apparently been in excellent health with only a day or two of feeling badly. Last rites were conducted at the Union Grove Church near Montgomery with Dr. W. L. Holcomb of Winnfield officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Pallbearers were J. J. Crippen, Bud Roberts, Melton Hightower, Lloyd Guilliams, W. C. Cummings, Robert Heard, Wright Melton, and Morris Brooks. A native of Alexandria, Mr. Corley had been a resident of Winnfield for about 27 years. He was one of a family of 12 children, eight of whom live in either Pineville or Alexandria. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Marie McWilliams and Mrs. J. E. Melton, Winnfield, and three grandsons. Six sisters survive. They are Mrs. I. D. Smith, Mrs. R. D. Whatley, Mrs. J. A. Zabasky, Mrs. Conrad Roberts, and Mrs. C. B. Gray, all of Pineville, and Mrs. J. H. Paylor, Monroe; five brothers, A. B. Corley, Sr., Alexandria; Hopkins, Ellis, and Clyde H. Corley, all of Pineville, and Willie E. Corley, Oakdale.
