Couch, widely known railroad official and industrialist, died at 5 a.m. Monday in a Pine Bluff, Ark., hospital as the result of a heart attack. Mrs. Couch was the mother of Kirke Couch, president of Couch Motor Lines of Shreveport. Other survivors include two sons, Harvey C. Mr., president of the Union National Bank, Little Rock, and William T. Couch, head of Couch Marine, Inc., Hot Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Pratt C. Remmel, Little Rock; a niece, Mrs. Ralph Goff, Shreveport, 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Lakeside Methodist Church in Pine Bluff with burial in the Magnolia Cemetery at Magnolia. Mr. and Mrs. Couch were residents of Winnfield many years ago. Mr. Couch established the first telephone exchange in Winnfield.
