The Rev. Richard Mitchell officiated. Burial was in the Verda Cemetery in Verda, La. Mrs. Cox, 82, died at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 1992, at Rapides General Medical Center in Alexandria, La. She was a native of Verda, La., a homemaker and a member of the Montgomery Church of Christ. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by two daughters, Margaret Antee and Marie Carter. Survivors include one son, David Lovett of Pasadena, Texas; two daughters, Nelwyn Hurst of Jackson, Miss., and Mary LaCroix of Montgomery; two sisters, Lealis DeWitt and Ruth Pickler, both of Zwolle, La.; one brother, Oris Williams of Hickory, N.C., 20 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
