All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: November 9 1977 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Mrs. Dolly Cox Mrs. Catherine Dolly Cox, 82, born at Pots Camp, Miss., June 27, 1895, a former resident of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away in Madill, Oklahoma, October 16, 1977. She had been living there for several years. Mrs. Cox was the wife of the late Leether Jack Cox, a stock trader, who passed away in November of 1962 and was buried here in the Garden of Memories. Mr. Cox ran the mule barn next to Willy Bass' blacksmith shop on Fourth Street for many years. Funeral arrangements were made by the Watts Funeral Home of Madill, Oklahoma. The funeral service was held in the Watts Memorial Chapel October 18, 1977 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Paul Shero officiating. Singing was arranged by the Madill Church of Christ. Following the funeral service in Madill the remains were flown to Winnfield, Louisiana where she was laid to rest beside her husband in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Casket escorts were John Murray, John Laird, John Simmons, Rodney Simmons, J. R. Garrison, and James Ayres.
