G. Gunter and Louis B. Williams officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mr. Cox, a lumber truck driver for L. L. Brewton Lumber Co. of Winnfield, and a member of the National Guard at Winnfield, was killed Friday near Wilmont, Ark., when the truck he was driving, loaded with lumber, overturned. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Linda Cox of Winnfield; a son, Damon Eugene Cox, Jr., of Winnfield; two brothers, Richard C. Cox of the U. S. Navy and Morris K. Cox of the U. S. Army; father, Chester Cox, and stepmother, Mrs. Hazel Cox, both of Winnfield. Pallbearers were Eugene Edmonds, Gary Kyson, Johnny White, Jewel Thomas, Shelby Bonnette, Marlin Bonnette, Johnny Hutchinson, and Royce Green.
