He was a farmer and a veteran of World War II. Survivors include three sons, Leroy Cox, Jr., of Atlanta, David Cox of Lubbock, Tex., and Roy Ben Cox of Naples, Italy; one stepson, Clifford Lovell of Lubbock, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy C. Neal of New Bern, N. C., Mrs. Thelma Sapia of Lafitte, and Miss Shirley Cox of Atlanta; one stepdaughter, Letha Cox of Naples, Italy; one brother, John Henry Cox of Blytheville, Ark.; four sisters, Mrs. Amy Jackson and Mrs. Estelle Robinson, both of Myrtle, Miss., and Mrs. Martha Harrell of Memphis, Tenn., and 13 grandchildren. Services were held at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Winnfield, with Rev. Ray Teal officiating. Burial was in Atlanta Cemetery.
