D. Mills and Thomas Parker officiating. Burial was in Welcome Home Cemetery. Mrs. Cox died Saturday, March 27, 1971, at her residence following a long illness. Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Nannie Shumaker and Mrs. Clemmie Bryant, both of Grayson, Mrs. Lena Rolen, Mrs. Virgie Rice, and Mrs. Mildred Eubanks, all of Monroe, Mrs. Beulah McGinty of Leesville, Mrs. Ola Shumaker of Baton Rouge; three sons, Lester Cox of Grayson, Floyd Cox of Houston, Texas, and D. J. Cox of Pineville; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Taylor of Grayson, Mrs. Bertie Thompson of Winnfield; 48 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 23 great-great grandchildren. The grandsons served as pallbearers.
