W. Cox of Curry August 21 Funeral Services Were Held Saturday at Guin Cemetery T. W. Cox, 70 years of age, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. B. Sanders, Tullos, Friday, August 21, 1936. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Guin graveyard at 3 o'clock with the Rev. M. D. Doughty in charge. Mr. Cox had been a resident of Winn Parish for 69 years. He was born in Capire(?) County, Mississippi in 1866, and was brought to this parish while still an infant. He resided almost his entire life in Ward Nine. In 1888 he married Miss Annie Williams. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a devout Christian. He had been in ill health for some time before his death. Surviving are his widow; two daughters and three sons: Mrs. J. C. Strickland, Dubberly; Mrs. L. B. Sanders, Tullos; E. L. Cox, Rochelle; F. M. Cox, Winnfield; and Iley Cox, Curry; one brother, D. D. Cox of Curry; 17 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
