Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Crain died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 1976 in Columbia Heights Nursing Home at Columbia after a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Sikes, Mr. Crain was a retired farmer. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nancy Crain of Sikes; two sons, Floyd Crain of Columbia, and James Crain of Sikes; four daughters, Mrs. Ann Ott of Shreveport, Mrs. Margie Lawrence of El Dorado, Arkansas, Mrs. Bill Womack and Mrs. Merle West, both of Oak Grove; one sister, Mrs. Zelma Mote of Clarks; 24 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
