Jack Crain, 93, Succumbs; Rites Friday

Funeral services for Jack Crain, 93, of Sikes, were held at 10 a.m. Friday
in Hurricane Grove Baptist Church.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Crain died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 1976 in Columbia Heights
Nursing Home at Columbia after a brief illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Sikes, Mr. Crain was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nancy Crain of Sikes; two sons, Floyd Crain
of Columbia, and James Crain of Sikes; four daughters, Mrs. Ann Ott of
Shreveport, Mrs. Margie Lawrence of El Dorado, Arkansas, Mrs. Bill Womack and
Mrs. Merle West, both of Oak Grove; one sister, Mrs. Zelma Mote of Clarks;
24 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
