Crawford Services for Corinne Mixon Crawford were held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 29, in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home. Dr. Calvin Phelps officiated and burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mrs. Crawford, born May 15, 1912 in Dodson, La., died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 27, 1988 at Humana Hospital-Winn Parish, after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Alfred L. and Ida Wasson Mixon of Dodson. She was predeceased by her husband, Horace E. Crawford, former long time County Agent for Winn Parish. Mrs. Crawford was a retired school teacher, having taught for 30 years in Winn Parish schools, a member of the Association of Retired Teachers and a member of the professional teachers' society, Alpha Delta Kappa. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Readers Review Club. Survivors include one son, Ed Crawford of Winnfield; one daughter, Beth Swanson of Morgan City, La.; one brother, Dan Mixon of Goldsboro, NC; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Stovall of Dodson, and Mrs. Mary Ruth Keckler of Lake Charles, La., and three grandchildren, Mark Swanson of Morgan City, and Carolee and Polly Crawford of Winnfield.
