An El Dorado, Ark., man died at Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport Saturday, May 25, 1968, after sustaining injuries in an auto accident Monday night in El Dorado. Hospital officials said Harvey Jack Crain, 47, died at 2 a.m. in the hospital Saturday. He was admitted Tuesday to undergo brain surgery because of the accident, officials said. The accident was a two-car collision inside the city limits of El Dorado, a spokesman said. He was a native of Winn Parish. Funeral services were conducted in an El Dorado Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Sunday with interment in the Hurricane Grove Cemetery near Sikes. Survivors include his wife, three sons, one daughter, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Crain of Sikes; four sisters, Mrs. Ara Womack and Mrs. Muriel West of Oak Grove, Mrs. Ann Ott of Shreveport, Mrs. Jack Lawrence of El Dorado; two brothers, Mack Crain of Columbia and R. J. "Red" Crain of Sikes.
